Katchkie Farm is a year-round organic farming operation owned by the NYC-based catering company, Great Performances. Katchkie Farm represents a commitment to celebrating local flavors and an investment in sustainable agriculture and good earth practices. Katchkie, which sits on 60 acres in Columbia County, NY, yielded its first harvest in 2007.

In addition to the traditional farm, Katchkie also houses The Sylvia Center, an educational nonprofit that introduces children to the pleasures and benefits of healthy, sustainable food through farm visits and cooking workshops. Katchkie Farm’s philanthropic role also includes committing 5% of its annual harvest to anti-hunger organizations, notably the Hudson Valley Food Bank, City Harvest, and Yorkville Common Pantry.

The Katchkie Farm team is split between the farm and the city. Farmer Bob manages the farm, leading a few seasonal workers in the tilling, planting, weeding, watering, harvesting and all that goes into the daily processes of farming. Brooke Saias, Farm Project Coordinator, works in New York City managing the CSA Program, farmers markets, and overseeing all outreach efforts.
