Field Goods delivers throughout eastern New York, including the New York metro area, western Connecticut and Massachusetts, and northern New Jersey.
You can choose to automatically get a subscription delivered every week or every other week, or set your own schedule using our Hold/Cancel function. We deliver 52 weeks a year!
The pick-up window for your delivery is shown when you select your location. You can pick-up your delivery anytime during this timeframe.
If your location is closed for a national holiday, we will reschedule deliveries for a different day. For example: Thursday deliveries on Thanksgiving will be rescheduled to Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Your new delivery day will be noted on This Week’s Delivery.

If your location is closed due to weather/emergency, we will attempt to deliver on another day that week or on Monday of the following week. If we cannot reschedule delivery we cannot refund you for the missed delivery.

Depending on your pick-up site, your bag may or may not still be at the location after the designated pick-up time. If a bag is left, it is usually donated, given to someone else at the location, or tossed. Your pick-up site is not responsible for holding on to your bag.
You are responsible for placing your delivery on hold if your delivery location is closed or closing early for any reason. If you pick up at a Public Location, familiarize yourself with the schedule of your delivery location.

We deliver year round, and many of our customers say their favorite deliveries are in the winter. Our winter produce is sourced from year-round greenhouse production, high-tunnels, over-wintered items, storage crops (root vegetables and fruits), as well as frozen produce.

Individual Quick Freezing (IQF) production ensures the highest quality frozen product. The prepped veggies are blanched to lock in the nutrition and freshness, and then run on a conveyor belt through the freezer. This method individually freezes pieces to minimize excess moisture, helping maintain the texture, flavor, and nutrients.

In this case, you will need to increase the amount of your order for This Week or hold your entire delivery

You will be informed of the upcoming week’s delivery through our In The Bag newsletter each Friday. If you are allergic to an item, we recommend that you put your subscription on hold.

One of the most valuable features of a Field Goods subscription is that we include a wide variety and hard-to-find products. In addition, produce from small farms can taste very different than items you may have had in the past.

We help you to try new things. Our In The Bag newsletter will tell you everything you need to know about the items and how to prepare them!

If deer eat our farmer’s crop the day before delivery, we won’t be able to provide that specific product in your bag. For scenarios where we deem it necessary to switch to another item, we reserve the right to change those items.
If you receive an item that you have an issue with, just let us know. We will credit your account. No problem! We are delivering real food, from real farmers, packed and delivered by real people — stuff happens. Email us at .

Why Field Goods?

By partnering with local small farms, we offer superior produce with advantages in freshness, flavor, texture, nutrition, and sustainability. The benefits start with our small farms. The diversity of the farms and their produce translates into a greater nutritional diversity for our customers, and a healthier ecosystem. Small farms typically do not harvest with industrial machinery and the produce is sold to Field Goods right after harvest. Processing and transportation are minimized.
Our distribution method and product selection are designed to support sustainability.

1. We work with small farms that practice sustainable farming.

2. Field Goods minimizes food waste. Contrasted with the nation’s current agricultural system, which wastes about 50% on the way to the consumer, only about 4% of our produce is left over at the end of the week – which is then donated to people in need or to farmers for livestock feed.

3. Our bags travel less than 4 miles per customer per weekly delivery, and this includes the whole chain from farm to customer. For a point of comparison, an individual customer’s weekly grocery trips are easily five times that number.

4. We encourage our customers to return their subscription bags and insulated freezer bags to us every week. This way we can reduce, reuse, and recycle!

We think of Field Goods as a stealth wellness program because a Field Goods subscription truly changes behavior. Here is what we learned from a Sage Colleges Research study from subscribers after 3 months:
• 40% report eating healthier, eating 10% more each week of fruit and vegetables.
• There’s a 50% increase in those very satisfied with their diet and two-times improvement in subscriber’s satisfaction with the whole families’ diet.

Farmers and Producers

We work with over 80 small farms from northern Vermont to southern New Jersey. The majority of our farms are in the Hudson Valley.
Thanks to the farming methods of our small farms, our products have superior taste, freshness, and nutrition. The farming methods are certified organic, organically grown without certification, Integrated Pest Management, or family farm methods. Most of the items come from certified and uncertified organic growers, and all of our items are non-GMO!

More Information

Our In the Bag newsletter identifies which farm – and the farming method – of every item that we deliver. Plus, we deliver a printed newsletter with the delivery that itemizes everything in your bag, including its source and farming method.

Most common questions

Please let us know if there was a problem with an item in your delivery and we will do our best to make it right. Email us at or give us a call.
We send In The Bag newsletters to all subscribers (present and past). If you would like to permanently stop receiving the newsletter, click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter.
Whenever you want it to! We deliver all year.
Depending on your pick-up site, your bag may or may not still be at the location after the designated pick-up time. If a bag is left, it is usually donated, given to someone else at the location or tossed. Your pick-up site is not responsible for holding on to your bag.
Easy! Email us at . We generally need a group of at least 5 subscribers, depending on the location, to set up a new drop-off site. All we need is a climate-controlled location (ie. not outside in the blazing heat) to leave the bags for pick-up.
For those of you that have been with us since 2011, you know we have yet to increase our prices. Go Field Goods! Now we need to do that but in a uniquely Field Goods way. As of December 31st, 2015 we are adding a wage surcharge of 2.5% per bag. You will see a charge of $.38 to $.75 depending on the size of your bag. We are uncertain about the impact wage inflation will have on our costs. So rather than have to repeatedly adjust our prices, we felt this approach made more sense.
