North Country Creamery is located at Clover Mead Farm in Keeseville, NY, 20 minutes south of Plattsburgh, and a ferry ride across Lake Champlain from Burlington, VT.  The creamery is home to where previous owner and operator, Sam Hendren, developed an award-winning line of fresh and aged artisan cheeses. Sam’s retirement coincided with Ashlee Kleinhammer & Steven Googin's eagerness to start their own operation. They expanded on Sam’s array of farmstead cheeses with the addition of yogurt and raw milk.

All of their products, including raw milk, yogurt, and various hard and soft cheeses are made exclusively with fresh milk, and other ingredients are limited to cultures, local herbs, sweeteners & fruits--no added colors or stabilizers.

North Country Creamery ebcourages customers to check out their CSA share.

Twin Maple FarmHudsonRedBarnFlipSmall

Armed with a vision of supporting family farms, friends Matthew Scott, Dan Berman and Doug Ginn created Pampered Cow, a company dedicated to preserving farmland by making the finest and most memorable artisan cheeses in America. The three partners set up shop at Twin Maple Farm, pristine grazing pastures in Ghent, New York that have been continuously farmed since 1801.

In 2009 Pampered Cow converted the old milk house in the Twin Maple Farm dairy barn into a cheese production facility and aging cave. The Creamery at Twin Maple Farm was born. The Creamery currently focuses on producing Hudson Red, a washed rind, raw jersey cow milk cheese which is sold nationally at top restaurants and specialty food stores. It recently won a Gold medal at the North American Jersey Cattle Association competition and scored 97.25 points at the very competitive World Cheese Championships. The newest curd creation to begin making memories is Hudson Gold, which hit store shelves this summer.

Pampered Cow takes great pride in building a business that supports the local community by producing unparalleled cheeses, promoting world-class agriculture, creating jobs and sourcing 100% of its milk from local, family run dairy farms.

Palatine Valley DairyPalatine1

Palatine Valley Dairy is the result  of a local former cooperative's venture into cheddar cheese manufacturing. Realizing very quickly that they had to find a niche that would distinguish their cheese from the generic types of cheddar already out there, Paletine Valley Dairy started flavoring the cheese.

Over a 5 year period the cooperative expanded its production line to include the 25 flavors of cheddar to seven flavors of fresh curd that is still made today. Palatine cheese distinguishes itself today by being the only brand in the Northeast that can boast this many flavors of cheddar cheese and cheese curd.

Mapledale Farm is a family farm tucked away in the Taconic Mountains of Berlin, New York. Their dairy farm consists of fields in the Little Hoosick River Valley, upland meadows, hillside pastures, and 3 Sugar Maple Bushes. Their herd of black and white Holsteins produce 100% of the high quality milk used to make their farmhouse cheese.

They are passionate about keeping the family farm sustainable.  In 1769, their Great, great, great, great, great Grandfather purchased his farm in what would eventually become the Town of Berlin.

Their cheese is full of flavor thanks to Grade A milk, their locally grown crops, and a cheesemaking style focused on enhancing taste and quality. Mapledale Farmhouse Cheese is fully aged and ready for tasting. They now have cheese made from their own farm's milk--just like they did 130 years ago.  The first varieties available are: "Classic Farmhouse Colby" and "Farmhouse Garlic Colby." They now also have their own locally produced cheddar cheese.
