Full Sun Company

Full Sun is a Vermont culinary oils company. Full Sun purchases sunflower and non-GMO canola crops from family farms in Vermont and New York and expeller-presses them in their mill for cooking oils. The material leftover from oil pressing is made into meal, which is a feed ingredient and a natural fertilizer. Full Sun was founded and is operated by friends Netaka White and Dan McManus.

Green Mead Farm

Green Mead is a new women-owned small farm partnership, launched by two passionate and experienced organic producers, on the site of an old agricultural estate in Valatie, Columbia County, NY.

They have expanded to approximately 8 acres of annual vegetable and flower production in fertile organic pasture land this season, with room to continue growing!

The farm's animal population consists of a few dozen hens and ducks. Goats may be in the works soon, too! You can spot the farmers at weekly markets in Delmar during the summer, and their weekly CSA during the winter season.

In 2013, Green Mead held their first Farm Camp for local youth, to provide a brief immersion in sustainable agricultural lifestyles.

Greig FarmGreig

The Greig Farm in Red Hook, NY has been open to the public for more than 60 years. The farm offers a market that features local vegetables, fruits, eggs, cheeses, meats, fish, flowers and more from local Hudson Valley Farms. The Hudson Valley Farmer's Market is open every Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm.

Greig Farm does not use systemic chemicals and chooses natural predators over chemical solutions whenever possible.

Hepworth Farms

Hepworth Farms, established 1818, is a seventh-generation family farm in Milton, NY (about 75 miles north of NYC). After graduating Cornell University in 1982, Amy Hepworth assumed leadership and began the process of dechemicalization, transitioning from standard farming practices to a "whole systems approach." Today, Hepworth Farms has 250 acres of certified organic production lands yielding more than 400 varieties of organic vegetables (specializing in tomatoes, cukes, eggplants, zukes, and greens). The farm is owned and operated by Amy, her twin sister Gail Hepworth, and Gerry Greco.

"We are extremely passionate about our farming standards and practice a whole-alive-systems approach. We deeply care and are devoted to our workers, land, and energy conservation, and delivering healthy and delicious food to our customers." -Amy Hepworth
