Tousey Vineyardslide1

Tousey Vineyard, which today primarily functions as a winery, began as a family-run enterprise (and still is today). With Ray Tousey’s dream of turning beautiful family-owned grounds into a vineyard, the journey began. Tousey is now run by Ben and Kimberly Peacock – Ray’s daughter, Kimberly, was the natural choice in overseeing the winery along with her husband Ben, whose wine knowledge and business know-how rounds out the team perfectly. With Kimberly having lived in Denmark and Ben hailing from the U.K., Tousey Vineyards have a unique blend of European sensibility and Hudson Valley roots.

Overlooking the Hudson River and the Catskill mountains, the vineyard's panorama is outstanding. In total they have 15 acres of Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Noir under production, and hold private tastings and events at the vineyard throughout the year.

Vermont Bean Crafters

VBC began in 2009, first in Rutland and now lives at the Mad River Food Hub in Waitsfield, VT. We Bean Crafters are a team of artisans and friends who have a deep-set care and passion for quality food and the relationships, techniques, and equities antecedent to any such quality. We are convinced that a Northeastern working landscape (And diet!) prioritizing nutrient-dense annual beans and grains row-cropped in rotations with vegetables and pasture--all hedged in by perennial staple foods such as nuts, fruits, berries and mushrooms-- bolsters the integrity, beauty, and viability of our communities in ways the current dominant food system cannot.

"FG is our 2nd biggest account. Glad to be doing business with you, and especially to be getting more nourishing foods out to folks thatmay not otherwise have such access!"

-Joe "el Jefe & el Chefe" at VBC

Whistle Down Farmgreenhouse

Whistle Down Farm, formerly Fog and Thistle Farm, has moved to a new location in Claverack, NY. The growers, Eileen Wallding and Nicholas Pandjiris, are excited to be putting down roots on this beautiful 60-acre farm along Taghkanic Creek. They are growing a fantastic variety of vegetables, with future plans for u-pick blueberries and goat dairy products. You can spot them at the Hudson, NY Farmers Market on Saturdays.

Whistle Down's farm management techniques focus on building healthy and diverse communities of plants, microorganisms and insects without the use of synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, or genetically modified seeds. They adhere to all organic standards, and also incorporate biodynamic methods into our practices. They use cover crops to prevent soil erosion and build fertility, work to minimize our dependence on fossil fuel powered machinery, and work to support local businesses in our farm purchases.

Opened in 1970, Yonder Farms is a family owned and operated garden center and farm market located in Troy, NY. They have over 15 greenhouses filled with trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, roses, vegetables, and herbs. During the Summer and Fall, they sell fruit and vegetables grown on a local farm in Hudson, NY. They use the latest radiant heating technology for germination so their plants have dense root balls which lead to bigger, healthier plants with abundant blossoms and fruit. Their cafe and bakery, located in Albany, NY, offers fresh baked goods (cakes, cookies, muffins, pies, pastries), coffee, sandwiches, soups, salads, fresh fruit, apples, pumpkins, apple cider, and dry goods. (518) 283-4267.
